There is no point in trying to give a history or even pictures of thewhole of Scotland as there are many publications can do this so muchbetter than I can. These are mearly some photographs that try to showthe majestic old castles & palaces of Scotland and their relativedistance from Edinburgh.
In order to keep download time to a minimum I have reduced the picturesto a fairly small size and so the end results are unfortunately not aspleasing on the eye as the originals but they do give a flavour of whatyou can expect to see on your visit to Scotland.

Linlithgow and Stirling are both within30 minutes drive from Edinburgh, in almost the same direction.
Within 60 minutes drive from Edinburgh, this time over to the Kingdomof fife the following sights of Scone & St. Andrewsshould not be missed :-
Within a 2 hour drive of Edinburgh (if you can stay in the car thatlong without stopping off at the many beautiful spots on the way)you can come accross Glamis & Blair castles:-
