Edinburgh Canongate

Edinburgh Saint Giles cathedral is situated in Edinburgh High Street and Edinburgh Royal Mile are often used to convey the same area of EDinburgh's Old Town. Edinburgh Royal Mile is a part of Edinburgh Old Town and itself is made up of Edinburgh Castlehill which leads to Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh Lawnmarket which runs from The Mound to Edinburgh Castlehill, EDinburgh HIgh Street, which runs from The Mound, crosses "The Bridges", continues to top of Canongate, and the Canongate itself winds down past the Scottish Parliament to Edinburgh Abbeymount and terminates in Edinburgh Palace of Holyrood House.
History seeps from the stones of the buildings and the streets of Edinburgh themselves. Edinburgh High Street contains a Cathedral, many churches, museums, galleries and loads of places to eat and drink. There are many great pubs and restaurants to visit. On the down side the High Street has loads of 'Scottish Gift Shops' mostly run by Indians selling crap that was made anywhere but Scotland. As everywhere buyer beware sp
