We have 2 en-suite family rooms, 2 en-suite double rooms, 1 en-suite twin room and 1 twin room with private bathroom. The bathrooms for each room has a w.c. wash hand basin and great showers. All rooms have a nice range of teas and coffees, hot chocolate, biscuits and we even provide bottled water for those wary of drinking our good Scottish water from the tap, which is still pretty good. From the Sherwood it is only a fifteen minute walk to Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street which is Scotland's premier shopping street. We are located in the Newington area which boasts numerous excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels and of course some lovely budget accommodation The Edinburgh Sherwood guest house, is a fully renovated 'B' listed building built in 1832 and retains most of the original features and character ( but with modern heating & plumbing ). The house was first registered to a young lady, the daughter of a tea merchant. This was a bold move for it's day as women did not have equal rights or anything like it, but we like to think we have retained that spirit of boldness with our decor and soft furnishings.
